Hegari is an open pollinated, white-seeded sorghum. This sorghum has a slender stalk growing from 3-5 ft. in height. It is very juicy and sweet with many wide leaves. It tillers profusely. The head is compact, cylindrical, and stays erect. The seed is white, with some having reddish brown spots. It is early to mid-season, maturing in 115 to 130 days. Hegari is a dual purpose used widely for grain and forage. |
